Experiment To demonstrate the process of
photosynthesis using aquatic plant like
7.1
Hydrilla
Background
Information Date ________________
Photosynthesis is the process in which green plants, algae and some bacteria
prepare their food (carbohydrates) in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll
from carbon dioxide and water and oxygen is released.

Materials Figure 7.1.1: Experiment setup to demonstrate photosynthesis in an aquatic plant
Required
Beaker, funnel, test tube, sodium bicarbonate, Hydrilla or any other aquatic plant
shoots, match box
Procedure ΠFill up 3/4 portion of 500 ml beaker with ! CAUTIONS
