Procedure ΠTake potted plant having variegated leaves.
Expose the plant to strong sun light for three to four days.
Ž Remove a leaf from the plant. Draw its upper surface making a
distinction between green and non-green areas.
Perform the starch-test on the whole leaf.
Starch Test
ΠPut the detached leaf in boiling water for ! CAUTIONS
about half a minute to kill its protoplasm.

Put the boiled leaf in a test tube containing of alcohol directly
