Materials Part 2: Investigation of the necessity of sunlight
Required
A potted plant with healthy leaves, black paper, paper clips, beaker, forceps, test tube,
ethanol, iodine solution, dropper, burner
Procedure
Œ De-starch the potted plant by placing it in a dark place for about 2-3
days.
Wrap a “leafA” with black paper as shown in diagram.
Ž Cut out a certain pattern on another black paper and wrap “leaf B” with
this black paper as shown in diagram (use paper clips to hold the black
paper in place).
